AcQ Platform Interface Software (APIS)

AcQ Inducom has developed a driver abstraction layer: APIS. This abstraction layer allows to write software without having to take into consideration the particular specifications of the operating system and hardware platforms.

The features of APIS summarized:

  • Hardware related software made platform independent
  • Eliminates the need for custom device driver(s)
  • Application software is portable over various platforms with little effort
  • Generic application program interface
  • APIS support is available by AcQ for a wide variety of platforms
  • Open software concept enables third-party platform support
  • Supports interrupt handling
  • Handles endian conflicts in multiple byte words
