Alstom
As a multinational, Alstom is active in the area of power systems and railway transportation (e.g. maintaining and building railway vehicles and infrastructure).
Modernization of traction equipment is the specialty of Alstom in Ridderkerk, this is also were the paths cross of Alstom and AcQ Inducom.
For the control part of the traction equipment Alstom uses the Modular Drive Control, which is, as it says, modular on hardware and software level and therefore applicable in several projects. Besides controlling the motor, this Modular Drive Control performs error detection and correction and gives support for maintenance (real-time monitoring, data storage, diagnosis, etc.).
Several of the hardware modules, like the MPR5, MPR6 and MPR7 which are in use for more then a decade already, are custom developed and produced by AcQ Inducom. But also more recently we have developed the IO9 as a successor of the IO5 and we are currently working together on some new developments.
